The Memorial's National Collection reflects Australia's contribution to armed conflicts all over world: colonial commitments to wars in New Zealand and the Sudan; South African War, the suppression of the Boxer uprising in China, First and Second World Wars, Korean War, Malayan Emergency, Indonesian Confrontation, Vietnam War, First and Second Gulf Wars, Afghanistan, and peacekeeping operations.
