Towing the smuggling ship
Description
Four sailors on the deck of the RAN ship HMAS Kanimbla watching the apprehended smuggling ship being towed towards their vessel. The ship under tow is MV Zakaat (PALAMOS written on the bow). The vessel is being towed towards Abu Dabi and the United Arab Emirates coastguard will intercept'. Peter Churcher recalled, "The Kanimbla has started to move and the smuggling ship is being towed behind. Some of the crew have remained on the back deck and are surveying the movements of the towed ship to check that everything is in order".
