I am researching the story of a driver called <a href="http://www.awm.gov.au/roh/person.asp?p=145-37186" rel="nofollow">David Mason</a> (died of wounds at Ypres in 1917) who left England in spring 1914 to look for a better life in Australia, but enlisted with the AIF in November that year. He served in Gallipoli, France and Belgium but never made it back to the old country for which he was so homesick. Thanks again for the really interesting site. I beleieve it should be for those that returned and used there experiences to build our young country, as well as respecting those that fell.
