My Grandfather was shot in the back at Tel El Saba nearly died on the camel ambulance as he was evac'd . I intend to get to hte AWM in the nest 6 months . It would be personally devistating not to see anything in regards to this battle and what the 3rd LH regiment contributed to it.

Hello,
On a recent visit to the AWM, I was disappointed to find only the briefest mention of this charge, one of the greatest battles in Australia's military history. As a modern day light horseman myself, I was saddened to discover that not even the painting by George Lambert was on display. Kokoda and Long Tan both have their own displays and yet the last great cavalry charge does not.

Are there any plans to re-instate a Beersheba exhibition to honour the men and women who took part in it?

I believe the AWM, although a great tribute to all the servicemen and women past, present and future, is not complete without it.
