Wallet 1 of 1 - contains mixed papers relating to the work of Matron Florence MacDowell in Russia during the First World War, 1911-1934 . The papers include a set of typescript and handwritten documents in Russian, documents from the British Red Cross Society and the Order of St John of Jerusalem in England.

Oversize folder 1 of 1 - contains a passport issued to Miss MacDowell for her travel to Italy, 12 October 1911, later countersigned by the British Consulate at Florence (1915) and the French consulate at Florence (1915), and including a photograph of Macdowell, c.1915;

Custom box 1 of 1 - contains a leather case for the above passport, date unknown.
