2/10th Australian Commando Squadron: wash and clean up
Description
One of a series of 12 paintings depicting members of the 2/10th Australian Commando Squadron in New Guinea in November 1944. The soldiers have just returned from a six-week patrol where they were clearing the Babiang and surrounding area prior to an advance by the 19th Infantry Battalion. The soldiers are pictured relaxing and bathing in the river in Babiang, New Guinea.
