Making tracks
Description
Profile mask of Barry John McDuff with medals, an armoured personnel carrier and a rooster in the background. 'Making tracks' is a colloquialism for 'time to go', 'to get ready or make preparations' for a state of living that became synonymous with the preparations for war. This work comments on the enduring impact of the Vietnam war experience on the soldiers and their families.
