[Figure in landscape]
Description
Gallipoli landscape with cliffs with figure with outstretched arms in foreground. The figure appears to be falling or drowning and Nolan has smudged the paint with his fingers to reveal the figure. The work was used as an illustration for a book of poems by Randolph Stow along with other similar works by Nolan (interview 13 April 1978).
