Description

Columns of Australian infantry marching into camp at Lemnos Island. Rest camps were established on Lemnos for Australian troops during the Gallipoli campaign, and they were later evacuated to the island after all Anzac forces were withdrawn from the peninsula. Note the rows of EPIP tents on either side of the road.
