Description
Studio portrait of 500 Private (Pte) Ewart William Davis, B Company, 22nd Battalion, of Geelong, Vic, originally of London, England. Pte Davis enlisted on 6 March 1915 and was killed in action on 17 October 1915 at Gallipoli Peninsula, Turkey. Prior to joining the AIF Pte Davis served with the Queenstown Volunteers of South Africa for four years.
