Description

'D' Company 4 RAR preparing to leave on Operation Stafford. Shows various aspects of redeployment into the jungle by 9 Sqn RAAF Iroquois helicopters from Luscombe airfield Nui, Dat. On Operation Stafford after a contact. 10 Platoon 4 RAR in the field after a contact - eating rations, ablutions. Handwritten sign 'Op Stafford'. Yellow smoke identifies unit's position. 'Spotter' helicopter obtaining relevant information about enemy locations. Clearing sweep after contact. 10 Platoon and 'D' Company 4 RAR on R&C leave in Vung Tau - shows local women, scenery, clubs, beaches, South China Sea and Buddhist Temple. 4 RAR 'D' Company deployed to 'The Horseshoe' shows various aspects of life at this position which was a relatively 'safe' position.
