- Captain John C. Collins CB photographed at the handing over of HMS Shropshire to the RAN. Captain Collins (later Sir John Collins, KBE, CB) accepted the British Cruiser on behalf of the Australian government as a replacement for HMAS Canberra that had been recently lost in action.
