An unknown New Zealand corporal squatting beside an land-mine he has just exposed by hand. Australian and New Zealand sappers were attached to the Nations Training Authority in Cambodia (UNTAC) and were posted to Mine Clearance Training Units (MCTU) to give courses in land mine identification, minefield marking and mine clearance to the local people.
