Lieutenant (Lt) Kylie Beumer monitors the course of HMAS Kanimbla while on a minefield transit operation through the Khawr Abd Allah (KAA) waterway. Also identified are Lt McCue (standing behind, left) and Able Seaman McMurry filling in the log book. During Operation Falconer, HMAS Kanimbla supplied command and control support to the Coalition boarding parties clearing the KAA waterway. HMAS Kanimbla also provided support to the Australian Clearance Diving Team 3 (AUSCDT3) by providing logistics support and work platform facilities. HMAS Kanimbla operated in the Middle East as part of the Australian Defence Force's commitment to the coalition forces assembled to enforce Iraq's compliance with its international obligations to disarm.
