Taken by Joan Isaacson as an Army Directorate of Public Relations photographer, during a trip to Queensland and the Atherton Tablelands to document the work of the women's services in early 1943. The touring party also included the journalists Connie Robertson, Patricia Knox and Rita Dunstan.
