Description
File of papers relating to the First World War service of Colonel John Monash, 4th Infantry Brigade. This file, originally part of Book 2, covers 1 February to 23 February 1915 and includes official and administrative documents relating to the arrival of Australian troops in Egypt. Also included is an extensive report on the journey from Colombo to Aden, several training regimes for the 4th Brigade, and letters from the Grand Rabbinat in Cairo and the Communaute Israelite of Cairo.
