Description
Circular badge with a wreath surmounted by a King's Crown. Inside is a map of Australian surrounded by another wreath and the words 'TO THE WOMEN OF AUSTRALIA'. A bar with one brass star is suspended from the main body. The star represents the number of relatives involved in the war effort. History / Summary
Female Relatives Badge issued to Mary Stone of Bathurst, NSW, the mother of NX56099 Corporal Ronald Charles Stone. Stone was born in 1918 in Bathurst and enlisted in Paddington, NSW, on 3 July 1940. He served in Malaya with 2/19 Battalion and was killed in action on 9 February 1942.
