Description

Rigid Hull Inflatable Boat (RHIB) Perspex windscreen with curved sides set at right angles to the front of the screen. Black painted ship's silhouettes, indicating the number of ships intercepted, have been placed on the right front and side of the windscreen. The right hand side of the screen has been broken away and some of the silhouettes are missing or partly missing. The lower edge of the windscreen is drilled with holes to allow it to be attached to the RHIB with screws and washers.

History / Summary

This windscreen was attached to the RHIB carried by HMAS Sydney during Operation Slipper in the Persian Gulf, between November 2001 and February 2002. The silhouettes drawn on the screen indicated the number of ships intercepted and searched.
