Lt. G.l. Makin is my uncle. my mother ruby was his sister. we have had this pHoto on tthe wall in our home for as longas i can remember.. uncle les was wounded in actio and died two mmonths before armistice. he was never forgotten. my mother always listened to the anzac march in melbourne and cried.
