| Description | Original grave marker for 3160 Private (Pte) Cyril Justin Joseph Gleeson, 57th Battalion. A farmer from Ceres, Vic, Pte Gleeson embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Medic (A7) on 16 December 1916. He died of wounds on 3 May 1918 and was buried in the Vignacourt cemetery. He was 20 years of age. From the Thuillier collection of glass plate negatives. Taken by Louis and Antoinette Thuillier in Vignacourt, France during the period 1916 to 1918. |
