| Description | Portrait of two Australian soldiers. Identified, left, is 2904 Sergeant (Sgt) Angus Valentine Wilson MM, 4th Pioneer Battalion. Sgt Wilson was awarded the Military Medal for courage and determination while leading a platoon, under very heavy enemy fire, to mark out a communication trench. (See also P10550.173) From the Thuillier collection of glass plate negatives. Taken by Louis and Antoinette Thuillier in Vignacourt, France during the period 1916 to 1918. |
