Remembrance Day

Location

This ceremony will be held on the parade ground which is located in front of the Memorials main building at the intersection of ANZAC Parade and Limestone Avenue.

Arrival Times

Guests must be seated before 10.00am.

Parking

Due to the current development of our new car park there is limited parking available on site. An alternative to parking at the Memorial is to park your car in Civic and take the short walk or public transport from there. The walk from Civic to the Memorial is approximately 15 minutes.

Limited mobility parking

Limited mobility impaired parking is available on site. Only cars displaying Government Issued Disability Access Permits may park in the designated permit area.

Road closures

There will be gradual road closures from 8.30am-9.30am on the roads surrounding the Memorial. These roads will re-open at approximately 12.30pm.

These roads include:

  • Limestone Avenue and Treloar Crescent
  • Fairbairn Avenue and Treloar Crescent
  • ANZAC Parade, from Blamey Crescent to the Memorial.
  • No access from Blamey Crescent and Currong St onto ANZAC Parade.
  • A local traffic only closure Cobby Street

Weather Arrangements

The National Ceremony will proceed even in inclement weather; visitors are asked to come prepared e.g. water, sunscreen, umbrella etc.
