The Australian War Memorial's Collection Databases require cookies to be enabled in your browser preferences.

'Cookies' are small amounts of information that are created and stored on the user's system, and used by the Web host server for a variety of possible purposes.

Enabling Cookies

Here are some brief instructions on how to enable cookies in your browser.

Microsoft Internet Explorer Version 6 (PC)

  1. Go to the Tools menu and select Internet Options.
  2. Click on the Privacy tab.
  3. Drag the slider to any level except High or Block All Cookies.

Microsoft Internet Explorer Version 5 (PC)

  1. Go to the Tools menu and select Internet Options.
  2. Click on the Security tab.
  3. Click on the Custom Level button.

  4. Scroll down to the Cookies heading.
  5. Click on Enable to accept all cookies.

Microsoft Internet Explorer Version 5 (Macintosh)

  1. Go to the Edit menu and select Preferences.
  2. Scroll down to cookies.
  3. Select Never Ask or Ask for Each Site.

Netscape Navigator version 4+ (PC or Macintosh)

  1. Go to the Edit menu and select Preferences.
  2. Click on the Advanced heading.
  3. Go to Cookies and select "Accept all cookies" or "Accept only cookies that get sent back to the originating server". Click on OK.
