Official Records Database

Official Records are those created by government agencies or persons. The Memorial's Official Records collection includes records of the Australian armed forces during periods of war and peacekeeping. These records are listed in the National Archives of Australia's RecordSearch database which contains descriptions of records in both the National Archives and the Australian War Memorial.

Please note that you cannot use RecordSearch to order AWM records for delivery to a reading room nor can you use it to order photocopies. Such enquiries should be directed to the Research Centre.
