Objective:
By looking at the day to day lives of ordinary Australians living in extraordinary situations, students gain an understanding of the impact of war on Australian society.
The program:
Step into another Australian's shoes and discover what it felt like to man a submarine, survive in a trench, be a child in the Second World War, work on a helicopter pad in Vietnam or as a peacekeeper in a country far from home. Education staff assist students with exploration of the Discovery Zone and then lead a tour of our galleries, relating displays to the Discovery Zone environments.
Price: $6.60 per student, minimum charge $79.20 (incl. GST)
Duration: 1.5 hours
Maximum number: 60 students
