Objective:
Students are encouraged to explore the complex social and personal impact of war.
The program:
What is war? What is peace? Explore the complex social and personal impact of war. In this exciting program, gallery exhibits such as the Pozières diorama and the works of the official war artists in Timor highlight the physical devastation and psychological scarring of war, which lasts long into peacetime. Other exhibits explore the mutual respect felt between combatants and the unexpected humour found on the battlefield. Teachers can choose to explore one or more conflicts: the First World War, the Second World War, Vietnam War, and Peacekeeping.
Price: $5.50 per student, minimum charge $60.50 (incl. GST)
Duration: 1 hour
Maximum number: 60 students per hour
Available: Daily 9.00 am – 3.30 pm
