Treloar Conservation and Storage Annex,

Big Things in Store is a rare opportunity to see inside the Memorial’s storage area of large technology objects as the Mitchell Annex is only opened to the general public once a year.
Visitors will be able to see a range of objects that are not currently on display in the Memorial including
- Sabre - brand new acquisition, assembled especially for this event
- Hudson conservation project
- Ha-Go tank
- DHC-4 Caribou A4-140 (outer wings have been removed for storage)
- De Havilland Tiger Moth
- 25-pounder field guns
- First World War Leyland truck
- Lockheed Hudson Mark IV Bomber undergoing conservation
- Second World War DAP Beaufort bomber
- V2 rocket on its original trailer
- Centurion tanks
- "Bushmaster" Infantry Mobility Vehicle
- Mk IV “Female" tank, the only one in Australia, whose sponson has been removed for conservation and research, giving you a rare chance to look inside. This YouTube video shows conservators removing the sponson in 2008.
In addition to the large technology objects, there will be ADFA Precision Drill Team demonstrations, children’s activities and craft, and scheduled talks by Memorial conservators, historians and curators.
Closed, flat footwear is recommended. No large bags allowed. Please bring your camera, (tripods and monopods permitted only after 2.30 pm)
Refreshments including sausage sandwiches and coffee are available.
