Dingoes, doodlebugs and dads

Sunday 5 September 2010
Two tours: 10.30 am and 2.00 pm
Cost: $15 per person, $12 Friends of the Memorial
Location: Second World War gallery (see map)

Looking for something different to give Dad for Father's Day this year?

Treat him to a special one-hour tour of our newly refurbished Second World War galleries, where we have some new objects on display. Join a Memorial curator and an historian, who will provide technical and historical insights about the displays and relate personal stories of Australian experiences during the Second World War. The refurbished galleries depict iconic battles such as Tobruk, Kokoda and Crete, as well as life on the Australian home front during this dark time.

Following the tour, morning tea or afternoon tea will be provided in the new Terrace Café, where the curator and historian will be on hand for questions about the tour.

Your ticket also entitles you to receive a 10% discount voucher to use in the Memorial shop on the day of the tour.
