There is a special commemorative closing ceremony being held in the Commemorative Area on Friday 17 August to commemorate the Australians who fought in the battle of Long Tan and to remember those who died.

This closing ceremony will commence at 4.45pm, and veterans and their families are encouraged to attend. This closing ceremony will include a reading of the Roll of Honour from the Battle of Long Tan.

Vietnam veterans in attendance will be invited to line the Pool of Reflection as part of the ceremony.

We suggest that you arrive by 4.00pm to allow yourself time to view the Long Tan cross display and then participate in the closing ceremony.
