Art and War
Taylor was born in Britain, emigrating to New Zealand with her family in 1902. In 1924 she enrolled in figure drawing at the Elam School of Art, Auckland. Working as a commercial artist, she moved to Sydney in 1926 and then Brisbane in 1933. In 1942 she was accepted into the AWLA as a field officer, responsible for members’ administration.
