Reg Grundy

Details already known about Reg Grundy's military career:

Reg Grundy served in the Australian Army between 1941 and 1946 (Service Number: N218629).
23 December 1941: Reginald Grundy enlisted in the Citizen Military Forces and was posted to 1st Cavalry Dvision (5A) Signals at Allendale.
11 March 1942: Qualified as a clerk and made a Specialist Group III Clerk.
30 August 1942: Enlisted for Universal Service at 1B Waverly Park.
8 September 1942: Posted to District Accounts Office, Sydney (employed as a clerk).
1 November 1943: Promoted to Corporal.
20 September 1944: Promoted to Sergeant.
1 August 1946: Discharged because of demobilisation.

The 1st Cavalry Regiment did not see active duty in any of the theatres of war. Grundy spent most of his Army time as a pay clerk in the Signals Unit stationed at the Waverley Barracks in Sydney.
