Artillery
The artillery of an army is made up of large guns. There are usually many different sizes and types of guns. Artillery was heavily relied on in both the First and Second World Wars. Artillery caused a huge amount of damage to both people and the land. Most of the casualties in the First World War were caused by artillery. Many parts of France still show the effects of artillery used in the First World War, and farmers still dig up old shells.
