The Roll of Honour was compiled from numerous source records, including service records, official casualty lists, Commonwealth War Graves Commission records, and the Roll of Honour circulars. They form the basis of the index cards from which the Roll of Honour database was compiled for conflicts from the Sudan to Somalia. Details of individuals included for subsequent conflicts are recorded in the Memorial’s correspondence files.
