Gallipoli and Western Front battlefield tour
April May 2009
From the hauntingly beautiful ridges, valleys, and beaches of the Gallipoli Peninsula to the evening Last Post ceremony at the Menin Gate in Ypres, the Memorial's tour of Gallipoli and the Western Front embraces the major sites where Australian soldiers served.
The tour is led by Memorial curators and historians, experts in the Gallipoli and Western Front campaigns. You are also accompanied by an expert tour manager, fluent in the local language, and familiar with local history and customs.
"It was an excellent trip, great value, and I couldn't recommend it highly enough to others." John Supple, Sydney.
"The best four weeks of my life." Alan Kitchen, Sydney.
Although most travellers choose to take the whole 29-day tour, the first part of the tour, a visit to Turkey, and the second part, a tour of France and Belgium, are also offered as separate journeys.
