This 1:144 scale plastic model kit includes decals to recreate the Me 262 'Black X', the aircraft on display at the Australian War Memorial. This example was handed over to Allied forces in May 1945 by Luftwaffe pilot Hans Frohlich.

The Messerschmitt 262A was the world's first operational jet fighter and was capable of flying at over 850 km/h, though its revolutionary engines had an average life of only 25 hours.

Finished kit length 73.4 mm. Wingspan 86.9 mm. Suitable for modellers aged 14 and over.
