Heroes of F Force

Don Wall

This book describes the suffering of 3,600 Australians and 3,400 British prisoners of war who marched 300 kilometres at night through the jungle to the most isolated locality on the Burma-Thailand Railway where they encountered cholera. Within 8 months 2000 British and 1000 Australians had died. The losses would have been enormous had it not been for the dedicated services of the Medical officers, staff and volunteers who worked to contain the epidemic and secure better conditions. Heroes of F Force includes a Roll of Honour identifying those Australians who died. Soft cover, 170 pages.
