2013 DVA calendar - A century of casualty care
Department of Veterans Affairs
Whenever Australians have gone to war they have relied on the dedication of medical personnel, from stretcher bearers who share the risks of the front line to nurses and surgeons whose skill and care, sometimes under fire, has saved the lives of many who might otherwise have died. Illustrated with images from the collections of the Australian War Memorial and the Department of Defence, this 2013 commemorative calendar focuses on the changing nature of casualty care over the past century, and pays tribute to the generations of men and women who have helped their comrades survive in the field, in the hospital, and in their return to civilian life.
This calendar lists official days of commemoration proclaimed by the Governor-General of Australia and national public holidays only.
12-month calendar with photographs and text.
