The Australian War Memorial takes pride in announcing the next volume in the series 'The Official History of Australia's involvement in Southeast Asian Conflicts 1948-75. The successor to the highly acclaimed 'To Long Tan', originally published in 1993, this volume is the second volume in the series of 9 books to deal with combat operations in Vietnam. This book examines and interprets the experience of the Australian Army in the Vietnam War from the beginning of 1967 to mid 1968. It explains the difficulties and dangers faced by the Australians in operating with limited resources, and the decision to construct a controversial barrier minefiel and the subsequent failure of this project. It also covers the period of the Tet Offensive and the Australian response which culminated in the actions around Fire Support Bases Coral and Balmoral. Hard cover, indexed, illustrated, 650 pages.
