Burma railway - a visual recollection
During the Second World War more than 12,000 allied prisoners of war lost their lives during the construction of the infamous Burma Railway. Otto Kreefft’s book includes very detailed drawings and explanatory text which give a picture of the circumstances that the prisoners of war were subjected to. Every illustration will have its own personal meaning for those who worked on the railway, and for those who did not have to suffer it, a few drawings may tell more than a thousand words.
Hard cover, illustrated.
