The history of the Western Australian 51st Battalion AIF in World War 1, from its formation in Egypt in early 1916 from the veterans of the 11th Battalion, to its eventual disbandment in 1919 after Armistice. This battalion fought in many of the battles on the Western Front as part of the 13th Brigade, including Monquet Farm, Noreuil, Messines, Broodseinde Ridge, Polygon Wood, Dernancourt and the battle of Villers-Bretonneux.
