Ration book mini mug
When war broke out in 1939, the British government created the Ministry of Food to help families make the most of their wartime rations. To ensure that everyone received a fair share of food, ration books for every man, woman and child came into use on the 8 January 1940.
This lovely mini mug reminds us of the austerity of wartime with its design of a 1944-45 general ration book. Measuring a petite 7cm high and 6cm wide, they are boxed and are just as good for collectors as they are for espresso drinkers.
Microwave and dishwasher safe.
