Ration book magnet
With the outbreak of war broke in 1939, the British government created the Ministry of Food to help families make the most of their wartime rations. To ensure that everyone received a fair share of food, ration books for every man, woman and child came into use on the 8 January 1940. This handy magnet reminds us of the austerity of wartime with its cover of a 1944-45 general ration book. Dimentions 8cm x 6cm.
