"What did you do during the war, Grandad?"
Many visitors come to the Memorial hoping to find out something about the war experience of a relative. Visitors to the Research Centre are able to easily access military and family history sources such as maps, unit diaries, films, sound recordings, personal letters and diaries.
You can:

- read unit diaries that give a day by day account of action
- look at photographs and works of art online
- watch original, unedited film footage
- study maps
- read the letters and listen to the words of the servicemen and women who were there
