Opening hours

10 am–5 pm daily
Closed on Christmas Day

The Research Centre's reading room is open 10am – 4.50 pm weekdays and from 1.00pm – 4.50pm on Saturdays and is closed on Sundays and and ACT public holidays.

Admission to the Memorial is free

Parking

All on-site parking is free (see map).

Disabled parking facilities are available close to the Museum's main entrance near the Administration building.

Café

The Landing Place (located within ANZAC Hall) open 10am – 4.30pm daily

Memorial Shop:

10 am–5 pm daily
Closed on Christmas Day

Walking

The Memorial is an easy thirty minute walk from the City Centre.

Driving

There is free parking provided at the rear of the Memorial. Drive your car and bring a picnic to enjoy in the grounds.

Cycling

Bicycle racks are available adjacent to the Memorial Administration building.

Buses

Regular bus services run between the City centre and the Memorial on route 10 on week days and 930/931 on weekends.

From Sydney:

  • Direct driving route: 3 hours via the M5 tollway, connecting to Hume Highway 31. Turn off after Goulburn onto the Federal Highway.

From Melbourne:

  • Direct driving route: 7 hours via the City Link tollway to the Western Ring Road, connecting to the Hume Highway. New Yass, take the Barton Highway turn off to Canberra.

Greyhound operates daily services to Canberra from Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Adelaide.
