  1. Brothers in Arms: the Vietnamese Australian experience of the Vietnam War

    This exhibition showcases two new art commissions by artist Dr Dacchi Dang and are the first substantial acquisition for the Memorial’s collection from the Vietnamese Australian perspective on the Vietnam War.

    This special exhibition honours those Australians who work tirelessly to avert tragedy and build peace.

    From Bougainville to East Timor; Rwanda to Solomon Islands - explore the stories behind peacekeeping and humanitarian operations, where Australian civilians, diplomats, police and military, have shown the courage to make peace.


  3. Laughter: A Powerful Ally

    05 November 2019 - 01 November 2020

    In times of adversity, people often look to humour to keep up their spirits. This exhibition tells the story of comedy performance spanning the First World War through to recent conflicts.

From permanent galleries to online exhibitions

The Memorial has several permanent exhibitions and galleries, covering Australia's involvement in all conflicts. For those outside of Canberra, we also have touring and online exhibitions, as well as collection items in fellow institutions.

Last Post Ceremony

The Last Post ceremony allows guests to remember those Australians who have lost their lives in war. It is broadcast live daily via webcam on the Memorial’s website from 4.55 pm AEDT.
