Gallipoli and Western Front battlefield tour

April – May 2014

From the hauntingly beautiful ridges, valleys, and beaches of the Gallipoli Peninsula to the evening Last Post ceremony at the Menin Gate in Ypres, the Memorial's tours of Gallipoli and the Western Front visit the major sites where Australian soldiers served.

The tour is led by Memorial curators and historians, experts in the Gallipoli and Western Front campaigns. You are also accompanied by an expert tour manager, fluent in the local language, and familiar with local history and customs.

“The Australian War Memorial should be congratulated for making these tours possible with such outstanding historians and leaders.” L.Bear, Blackburn Sth, Vic.

“The additional time at Gallipoli allowed us to see so much more than we expected.” J.Watson, Perth, WA.

Although most travellers choose to take the whole 23-day tour, the first part of the tour, a visit to Turkey, and the second part, a tour of France and Belgium, are also offered as separate journeys.
