Event/Ceremony request form

This form is to request a commemorative event or ceremony at the Australian War Memorial.

Please note:

  • The delivery of events at the Australian War Memorial will be conducted in line with current Government health advice and guidance. Event organisers are responsible for ensuring they are familiar with relevant guidance at the time of event.
  • Due to the fulsome commemorative program at the Memorial, requests to conduct events or ceremonies are to be submitted for consideration and approval by the Memorial’s Corporate Management Group.
  • Additional requests are not scheduled during the Memorial’s busy periods in the weeks prior to Anzac Day (25 April) and Remembrance Day (11 November) due to the coordination of the national commemorations.
  • It is recommended that requests are submitted six to twelve months prior to the preferred date, so that it can be considered, and the date secured if approved.
  • Groups or Associations who hold annual activities still need to submit a request.
  • The Memorial may also require documentation including copies of public liability insurance, a risk management plan and related WHS forms.

You may choose to provide additional information to support your request for holding the event or ceremony at the Australian War Memorial. For example, if the event or ceremony marks a major anniversary or if you have held an event or ceremony at the Memorial in the past.
