This Bren Gun pit near Alexandria is the design of an Australian Digger and is regarded as a model of its kind in the desert. The gun may be used against land attack and low flying aircraft. Members of the crew are NX2255 Lance Corporal (later Corporal) Richard Noel Kentwell (presumed killed in action in Greece, 18 April 1941), in charge of the post; NX1921 Private (Pte) Geoffrey James Case, Lismore NSW, the Gunner: Pte Tom Collins, Lismore NSW, the Number 2.
