UNITED STATES FIGHTER PILOT, LIEUT. PAUL BROWN WHO IS CREDITED WITH TWO ZERO FIGHTER AIRCRAFT AND A BOMBER OVER NEW GUINEA. LIEUT. BROWN, DURING HIS ENGAGEMENT WITH ONE OF THE ZEROS, COLLIDED WITH THE ENEMY MACHINE, CUTTING OFF ITS TAIL AND CAUSING IT TO CRASH. THE U.S. PILOT RETURNED TO HIS BASE WITH THE LEADING EDGE OF HIS WING STOVE IN AND WITH PIECES OF THE ZERO'S TAIL EMBEDDED IN IT. (NEGATIVE BY ANDERSON).
