Balikpapan, Borneo. 26 July 1945. Members of an RAAF Airfield Construction Squadron are working on the Sepinggang airstrip in an endeavour to make it of use for operational purposes. The strip was heavily bombed prior to our landing and sandbags were needed to make a solid foundation before the craters could be filled in.
